Helix is looking for an experienced Product Developer II- Java, Python to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-scale cloud-native applications and AI-powered solutions using the latest technologies. This role combines backend engineering with modern AI application development, offering an opportunity to work on cutting-edge Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, and enterprise SaaS products.


Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success: 
  • Own end-to-end delivery of product enhancements, new features, and defect fixes for enterprise SaaS products.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, REST APIs, and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
  • Build and integrate AI-powered capabilities using Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and modern Agentic AI frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Architects, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-quality customer solutions.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, technical design, code reviews, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and customer issue resolution.
  • Contribute to cloud-native application development, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and engineering best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers, contribute to technical leadership, and promote engineering excellence across the team.
To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
  • 8–12 years of experience in enterprise software development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and enterprise AI application development.
  • Experience designing and developing REST APIs, Microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and one or more cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or OCI).
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud-native application development, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
  • Experience with Agentic AI frameworks and technologies including LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, and vector databases.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:
  • Experience integrating AI capabilities using OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, Mistral AI, Hugging Face, or similar foundation models.
  • Experience with BMC Helix ITSM, Helix Innovation Suite, Business Workflows, or HelixGPT.
  • Experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or Dynatrace.
  • Experience leading technical design, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering best practices

At HELIX we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 2,117,800 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The salary listed is just one component of HELIX's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
