We are the change makers. With decades of leadership and established trust in IT service and operations management, we’re scaling with purpose—through organic innovation, strategic acquisitions, and relentless R&D. Our open-first Agentic AI platform empowers autonomous agents to drive real outcomes with speed, accountability, and precision.

We are laser-focused on delivering real value to our customers by accelerating innovation and the application of applying agentic AI in digital service and operations management for IT organizations around the world.
Overview BMC Helix is transforming Enterprise IT through Agentic AI, ServiceOps, and a new class of AI-enabled experiences that reset the economics of enterprise software. The Chief of Staff to the CPO is a high-impact, execution-driven role that amplifies the CPO’s reach and effectiveness across the Product, R&D, and Marketing organizations. This individual will operate as an extension of the CPO’s office - translating strategic intent into actionable initiatives, ensuring operational rigor, and driving key cross-functional programs to completion.

The ideal candidate brings a rare combination of product management depth, analytical strength, and the ability to synthesize complex data into crisp executive narratives. This role requires someone who thrives in fast-moving, high-visibility environments; can bridge strategy with delivery; and operates with a bias for action, precision, and accountability.
Scope of Responsibility

This role spans all organizations under the CPO, including:
Product: R&D, Product Management, UX, Architecture, Documentation, and Security
Marketing: Demand Gen, Customer Advocacy, Field Marketing, Corp Marketing, and Solutions Marketing

You will partner closely with leaders across these groups to ensure alignment with the company’s top strategic priorities and to track, communicate, and deliver measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Program Execution
a. Drive execution of the CPO’s Top 5 Priorities.
b. Translate strategic objectives into operating plans with clear milestones, owners, and success metrics.
c. Identify and remove blockers that impede progress; ensure all initiatives move from concept to conclusion.
2. Executive Readiness & Communications
a. Build and refine board-, investor-, and ELT-level presentations, narratives, and data summaries.
b. Partner with the CPO and Product Marketing to develop storytelling frameworks that align product progress, market positioning, and financial impact.
c. Prepare and polish internal and external communications (executive updates, Gartner briefings, internal town halls, etc.).
3. Business Operations & Analysis
a. Design and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and data-driven insights for HelixGPT adoption, AIOps progress, and GTM effectiveness.
b. Partner with Finance, Strategy, and PMO teams to analyze performance against goals, providing data-informed recommendations for resource allocation, investment, and execution focus.
c. Own special projects where quantitative rigor and cross-functional collaboration are required.
4. Cross-Functional Project Management
a. Lead high-visibility, cross-functional projects from concept through execution.
b. Create a project governance framework for non-managed projects to ensure reliability.
c. Ensure alignment between Product, Marketing, and R&D leaders on timelines, interlocks, and outcomes.
d. Operate as the connective tissue between executive vision and team execution.
5. Operating Rhythm & Governance
a. Codify the operating cadence of the CPO organization (QBRs, OKRs, staff meetings, reviews, etc.).
b. Prepare briefings, pre-reads, and decision frameworks for CPO and ELT meetings.
c. Anticipate information needs, synthesize insights, and ensure the CPO is always “decision-ready.”
6. Performance & Collaboration Excellence
a. Elevate the organization’s performance culture by ensuring clear goals, bottoms up alignment, accountability mechanisms, and recognition programs that reinforce execution excellence.
b. Partner with HR and the CPO’s leadership team to implement frameworks that strengthen collaboration, feedback, and execution across the entire company.
c. Lead the CPO organization’s AI tool adoption and productivity initiative, ensuring teams leverage AI, automation, and analytics to accelerate output and decision quality.
d. Define and track team health, engagement, and productivity metrics to ensure sustainable high performance and alignment with Helix’s values and strategic objectives.
Ideal Background
10+ years of experience in B2B enterprise software, ideally spanning Product Management, Strategy, or Business Operations.
Experience in inbound product management or management consulting with exposure to GTM, analytics, or product-market strategy.
Proven ability to drive strategic programs to completion and deliver measurable business impact.
Exceptional proficiency in PowerPoint (narrative design) and Excel (financial/operational modeling).
Strong communicator who can distill complexity into clarity and influence at all levels.
Operates with a bias for action, thrives in ambiguity, and maintains precision under pressure.
Startup-level grit with enterprise-grade polish.

Success in This Role Looks Like
The CPO’s top priorities are tracked, measured, and delivered with discipline.
Executive-level deliverables (board decks, Gartner briefings, internal narratives) are pre-polished and data-driven.
The organization’s operating rhythm is predictable, transparent, and high velocity.
Key initiatives consistently reach closure — not just consensus.
The CPO’s strategic agenda is executed with urgency, quality, and cross-functional alignment.

Why This Role Matters
This is not a coordination or admin function – it’s a strategic execution seat at the intersection of AI innovation, enterprise software transformation, and go-to-market leadership. The Chief of Staff, Office of the CPO, ensures that Helix’s ambitions are not only articulated but achieved.
