Description and Requirements
Sr Solution Marketing Manager
BMC Helix is hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own storytelling, positioning, messaging, sales plays, and enablement for our ServiceOps and AgentOps portfolio. This is a value-focused PMM role: you lead with stories of value in the context of products and solutions, so customers can more quickly and easily understand the benefits they receive, not just features.
You will drive revenue expansion and also work to support adoption, and retention across a footprint anchored in ITSM and ITOM. You will also operate as an AI-native marketer, building agents, skills, and structured content that make our marketing, sales, presales, and customer success teams measurably faster and sharper in how they position our products. You will partner closely with marketing, product management, sales, presales (Solution Consultants), customer success, and our design and documentation team, and represent BMC Helix in demand gen activities, customer meetings and industry forums.
Here is how, through this exciting role, you will contribute to BMC Helix’s and your own success:
Storytelling, positioning and messaging
- Develop stories of value to help describe customer challenges aligned to BMC Helix products and solutions
- Own baseline messaging for ServiceOps and AgentOps. Lead with stories of value related to solutions and products, and bring capabilities, customer/industry examples in as proof. Maintain one sales bill of materials (BOM) and enforce message discipline across every asset.
- Create audience-focused content. Keep economic and decision-maker narratives distinct from sales, technical product-management and Solution Consultant material.
Sales plays and pipeline
- Build and maintain primary sales plays aligned to Helix motions and footprint, weighted by the business around both land and expand revenue motions. These sales plays will span ITSM, Automation and AIOps product areas.
- Lead with the highest-value solutions and plays before individual capabilities.
Launches
- Run tiered launches - Major, Significant, and Minor - applying the right marketing energy to each release and coordinating half-yearly market moments.
- Produce the content mapped to each tier: pitch decks, battlecards, solution briefs and datasheets, ROI tools, objection-handling guides, enablement FAQs, and release communications.
AI-native enablement
- Design and ship AI agents, skills, and structured deep content that sales, presales, and customer success teams consume through AI assistants such as Claude and Copilot.
- Structure content for both human and machine consumption so representatives retrieve accurate, on-message answers in the flow of work.
- Own verification and quality discipline: confirm accuracy and appropriateness of AI-generated output before it reaches a customer.
Customer and market engagement
- Sustain a regular cadence of customer conversations and build deep understanding of customer priorities through research and feedback loops.
- Support analyst perception and thought-leadership goals; represent BMC Helix at demand gen activities, events, briefings, and customer meetings.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Partner across the organization: with marketing around demand gen, product management on capability narratives, with the Solution Consultant team on demos and demo narratives, and with design and documentation on a shared content supply chain.
To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset and experience:
- Minimum 5 to 7 years in product marketing or an adjacent go-to-market function, with direct experience in the AIOps, Observability, ITOM, or ITSM space.
- Fluency with Claude-class AI tools and a demonstrated ability to build agents, skills, prompts, and structured content that support sales, presales, and customer success teams. This is a core requirement, not a preference.
- Command of a storytelling and value-selling methodology (for example, Command of the Message) and the ability to lead with product value in the context of solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with a proven ability to translate technical capability into business outcomes for both economic and technical buyers.
- Track record of driving adoption, expansion, and retention, not solely new-logo acquisition.
- Ability to prioritize and run multiple launches and sales plays concurrently.
- Sound judgment under ambiguity and comfort operating with incomplete data, with strong verification discipline.
- BS or BA required; MBA preferred.
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience positioning agentic AI, AIOps, or ServiceOps offerings.
- Familiarity with ITSM/ITOM competitive displacement.
- Analyst relations experience (Gartner, Forrester, EMA).
- Experience with structured content models and content designed for AI retrieval (RAG, llms.txt, or similar).
