BMC is looking for an experienced Product Developer II to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-scale cloud-native applications and AI-powered solutions using the latest technologies. This role combines backend engineering with modern AI application development, offering an opportunity to work on cutting-edge Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, and enterprise SaaS products.


Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success: 
  • Own end-to-end delivery of product features, enhancements, and defect fixes for enterprise SaaS products
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, REST APIs, and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
  • Build enterprise AI applications using Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and modern AI frameworks.
  • Design and implement scalable cloud-native applications following engineering best practices, software architecture principles, and secure coding standards.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Architects, UX, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver innovative customer-focused solutions.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, and customer issue resolution.
  • Contribute to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, performance optimization, and engineering excellence initiatives
To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
  • 6–12 years of experience in enterprise software development
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Python
  • Experience designing and developing REST APIs, Microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
  • Hands-on experience building AI/ML, Generative AI, and LLM-powered enterprise applications
  • Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases, and prompt engineering.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and one or more public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or OCI).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and software engineering skills.
  • Experience with AI evaluation, guardrails, observability, and prompt engineering. 
  • Experience deploying LLM applications in production, including cost optimization, latency optimization, and AI safety.

Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:
  • Experience with BMC Helix, HelixGPT, Helix ITSM, Helix Innovation Suite, or Business Workflows
  • Experience working with OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Mistral AI, Hugging Face, or similar foundation models
  • Experience with observability platforms including OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or Dynatrace.
  • Experience mentoring engineers, driving technical design, architecture discussions, and engineering best practices.

At HELIX we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 2,117,800 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The salary listed is just one component of HELIX's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
